Donating toys to other kids who are in need<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If we can teach our kids from a young age to be \u201cothers focused\u201d, well then, we\u2019re doin\u2019 something right.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Giving Lesson Activities & Ideas:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Read aloud this book with your kids: Howard B. Wigglebottom and the Power of Giving: a Christmas Story<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Activites to do with your kids after reading the book together: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2043    Encourage your kiddos to wrap lightly used toys they no longer play with, or buy them new, for kids who don\u2019t have as many as them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u2043    Deliver the gifts to a local Christmas gift drive with you child after wrapping them for them to experience the joy of giving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Math & Money integration:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n


    \u2043    Have your child decide how much to give of their own money to those in need or work around the house for money to buy the present for the gift that we give, opportunity to teach them the 10% tithe & even to teach what 10% is.. percentage teachings (amount of the whole) use pie charts & begin to teach money methods through this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u2022    \u2018Smart Money Smart Kids\u2019<\/a> by Rachel Cruze & Dave Ramsey is a great tool for parents to start this practice of earning money & how to manage it, even with younger kids! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Writing & Art Project:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n


    \u2043    Before sending the gifts, write or draw a card to include with your present. You can have your child pray for the child and write down what God says about the child you will be gifting too. (If they can\u2019t write yet, ask them what they would like to say & write it for them.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bible Lesson:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
